KUALA TERENGGANU, July 4 (Bernama) -- State owned Universiti TATI (TATIUC), is collaborating with Shougang Institute of Technology (SGIT) from China to train locals here towards expertise in the steel industry.
A programme will be undertaken to focus on building up skills as well as research to fulfill the steel and iron industry needs in the state.
Menteri Besar, Datuk Seri Ahmad Said, said the state government will bring in experts from SGIT to form the teaching force.
This is because the group is the largest steel producing group in China and this would also help cut the cost of having to send over the students to China, he said.
